Hamster children

On the 31st of July Rose gave birth to 8 beautifully Hamster Baby's. They weren't more than 1 cm when they were born.

4 of the baby's passed away in the first two weeks. So we have only 4 that are alive and doing exstremly well.

For the first two weeks we could not touch the kids because the mom were really protective of her kids. So we had to let her take care of all the nursing.
At almost two weeks they began having some issues with eating. We think Rose stopped for a little bit producing enough milk for all the kids. So me and my mom had to feed the kids with bottle with water and Hony so they could survive. It Whent pretty well and they put on alot of weight in the short days we were giving them that. At day 14-15 all the kids started to open theire eyes. That's were we began making them used to humans and bering handled. So 3-4 times a day we handled them and after week 3 they were almost all used to being handled and we're runing around exstremly fast.

The 4 are now 9 weeks old and almost as big as Rose are.

3 of the kids are Girls they live still with theire mom, but will be separated from theire mom soon since they are slowly getting more and more territorial. They eat and play just as theire mom and love to come out from home when they are awake.

The last one are a Boy. We have allredy separated him from the pack because he turned mature at 4 weeks old. But he's doing well at his own. He have a big home were he can run and have fun all the time. Also he comes out for an hour each night when he's awake because he like getting cuddles.

Rose

Last week we got a new Hamster in the Family, that we are calling Rose.
She's a Syrian hamster just as Little Bear, and she's expecting Hamster kids in just a few days. She and Little Bear fell in love right after we introduced her to him and after that they can't be alone in the room without each other's homes next to each other. we are unsure of how many Hamster kids she will get but it looks like it can be more than 6 that's coming.
we will sell them when they gets to around 5-6 weeks old and have goten used to beeing around people, and also i thinking about keeping at least one of the kids after the birth.

The first two weeks we can't touch the kids, becuse of the risk of Rose eating them if she gets stressed. we will put her into a birth cage on monday since it's then just 3 days to the day of the kids birth. we all are crossing our hands that it will go well with all the hamster kids, since this is my first time breeding Syrian Hamsters.

Little Bear

One day my mom and I were going to the pet shop, because we needed some new things for my brother's little Hamster girl. We didn't plan to buy a new Hamster, but when I saw him I just had to buy him.

We asked the pet shop owner if we could take him out for a few minutes to look at him, but he didn't want to come out of his cage. He was really careful with getting attracted to new people, I guess. So I ran to the nearest bank to get out some money and I paid for him. The next day I went to bring him home, at first he were really skittish and didn't like to come out of his cage, but after a few weeks he was used to us, and loved his new home.

His favorite treats and fooda are Vegi biscuits, Mini special popcorn and sunflower seeds. His favorite thing to do is to run in his wheel all night, and when he doesn't do that he love to come out of his cage and run around on the floor for a little while every day. He can do tricks like standing on his back feet while I hold a sunflower seed over him so he have to get it. Most of all, though, he loves laying on my lap in the afternoon and sleeping. He can be a bit funny sometimes, because when he's sleeping really deeply, he has the tendency to sleep on his back and kicking his feet up as if he's dreaming.

He helps me to keep my mood up every day, for the past few years I been battling with my poor health and having pets really helps me getting through the days when I don't feel well. So he's my special little boy, named Little Bear.

So this week he got himself a mate called Rose, Rose is of the same type of Syrian Hamster and they looks so much alike. They are at the moment hopefully expecting baby's that will hopefully arrive 10th of July ~

Hope The ninja!

5th of march 2014 were the day when we got to take home Little Hope, She's a Winter - white Dwarf Hamster and when we got her she were around 4-5 weeks old.
She have grew alot since we got her and also she like to store her food more than eating it, so each time we going to clean her cage we find food stored away in many places around in her home.
She weigh around 20-25 Grams at the moment she have been a little underweight but she's eating good for the time being so hopefully she will gain a bit more Weight soon.

We been calling her a Ninja because she sometimes can be too fast for us and she bite really hard so I begin to bleed. Her favourite ting to do is to run in her wheel in the night and also to come out of her home to run around on bed exploring things.

Her favourite treat is fruit grossy from vitakraft and sunflower seeds.
